Saleha Akhtar

I am a Paralegal specialising in commercial litigation work covering breach of contract, breach of tort, misrepresentation, insolvency, contentious probate, and contentious property. I assist with file reviews, drafting, and legal research. In all my work, I prioritise a clear understanding of the client’s needs and the required standard of client care.
Saleha joined Spencer West in 2022 as a paralegal on the dispute resolution team, bringing two years of experience.
She had previously been working as part of the litigation team in a large start-up firm in the City of London specialising in group litigation. During her time there, she assisted in various cases involving misrepresentation and breach of contract, including disputes against vehicle manufacturers regarding their use of emission-reducing and environmentally friendly technology, as well data breach claims against airline companies. This was where Saleha gained insight into commercial civil litigation.
After graduating with her LLB degree at the University of Westminster, Saleha interned and volunteered in various legal placements, honing her client-facing skills and understanding the importance of the client’s position and the administrative responsibilities associated with the paralegal role.
Saleha completed her joint LPC Master’s qualification in 2023. Her elective modules were advanced commercial litigation, media law, and intellectual property law, which were modules tailored to her desired specialism in contentious intellectual property and media law.
