Nina was previously Head of Department at a Legal 500 firm advising commercial clients, litigating, and resolving cases. Nina trained in a boutique insolvency and litigation firm. She understands that litigation can be expensive as well as time consuming, and aims to resolve disputes and obtain the best possible outcomes for her clients.
Nina has expertise on all types of commercial litigation including debt recovery claims, enforcing personal guarantees, commercial supplies, construction, IT software disputes, pursuing adjudications on behalf of insolvency contractors to obtain payment, and insolvency such as winding up or bankruptcy petitions. She acts for a variety of clients ranging from small businesses to large corporations and medium-sized commercial enterprises.
Nina has acted on the reported case Malin Industrial Concrete Floors Limited (In Administration) & Volkerfitzpatrick Ltd where the Court granted summary judgment in favour of the Claimant to enforce the Adjudicator’s decision whilst granting a stay of enforcement pending evidence from the Defendant of its cross-claim.
Nina was involved in the Supreme Court case of Bresco Electrical Services Ltd (In Liquidation) v Michael J Lonsdale (Electrical) Ltd [2020] UKSC 25 which changed the law mainly for construction insolvencies by allowing insolvent companies the right to start adjudications.
