Marc is a seasoned competition and commercial lawyer (Belgian and French qualified) with extensive European experience in private practice, multinational companies, and a focus on EU/competition law, supply chain commercial contracts, regulatory, and compliance.
Marc is a “client-first” oriented lawyer who aims to deliver creative solutions using a pragmatic approach based on his 30 years of expertise and his acquired “know-how.” He thrives on helping companies sustain their business and adopt successful growth strategies by providing practical advice on their projects and proactively assisting them in litigation matters and regulatory proceedings.
Marc has gained experience within the Big 4, reputable law firms, and as a managing partner, in addition to his international expertise in commercial/distribution and antitrust matters in various industries at the EMEA level.
Marc advises clients on structuring their business in Europe, negotiating, and drafting international commercial agreements. He has strong expertise in selective distribution for luxury goods companies and represents his clients in litigation matters, including arbitration related to the execution of such agreements.
He also provides assistance on Belgian and EU competition law in the context of merger control, notifications, compliance programs, cartel investigations, abuse of dominance, dawn raids, complaints, state aids, and regulatory matters.
Marc acts for French clients (individuals and companies) wishing to do business in Belgium. He is a member of the Brussels and Paris Bar.
Marc regularly publishes articles and lectures on various subjects of commercial and competition law. He is a member of the CCI France-Belgique and the International Distribution Institute (IDI). He speaks fluent French and English.
