Donald spent 10 years with Brodies LLP in Edinburgh prior to his move offshore where he and co-SWCI founding partner Michael Morris developed their practice culminating with their team move into Spencer West on 14 February 2023.

Donald is a transactional lawyer who lives and breathes advising investors, developers and lenders on all aspects of financing real estate.

Donald brings offshore onshore. The SWCI head office is in Guernsey which facilitates his international network reaching across all offshore jurisdictions. His expertise enables him to act for Channel Islands, UK, and international-based clients, whether through offshore corporate or trust structures, UK incorporated companies or individuals.

On the lending side, Donald’s team are panel lawyers for a wide range of lenders, his skill set generally draws him towards deals involving bridging, development finance, commercial investments as well as leading a specialist team advising on buy to let assets.

Donald acts for all manner of corporate looking to acquire, refinance or dispose of real estate assets.
