Source of wealth is the origin of all the money a person has accumulated over their lifetime. You should take measures to understand the activities that have contributed to the individual’s total wealth. For example, does it make sense for a client to have accumulated their wealth from their professional activities? If not, have they inherited money, sold assets, or received an investment windfall? This information gives an indication of the amount of wealth your customer would be expected to have and a picture of how they acquired it.
