Simeon Spencer comments on the importance of soft skills in Law Gazette
With advances in technology allowing for improvements to the practice of law, there is even more need for law professionals to develop soft skills.
Law Gazette takes a deep dive into the subject of how human attributes are imperative to engaging and building relationships with clients and Senior Partner and Co-Founder Simeon Spencer shared his views.
In the context of remote and hybrid working Simeon says: “We have embraced technology to allow for more virtual meetings, less commuting and a better work/life balance. Our partners have had to develop their interpersonal and communication skills to ensure that they don’t lose the ability to communicate effectively with peers, colleagues and clients.”
Simeon also states that it is “vitally important that lawyers develop their ability to actively listen, thereby showing others that they are ‘a respectful and valuable legal colleague’.”
