All in a week’s work: Sangeeta Rabadia becomes Recorder and fee-paid Judge in separate appointments
Spencer West Private Wealth Partner Sangeeta Rabadia has concluded a busy week with her appointment as a Recorder for the South East Civil Circuit, becoming one of just five appointed to the Civil Circuit across the country.
The news comes as Sangeeta was sworn in as a fee-paid Judge to the Tax Tribunal earlier this month. Her dual appointment reflects the flexibility afforded to Spencer West Partners under the fee-sharing model.
Sangeeta is one of 97 Recorders appointed by the King on the advice of the Lord Chancellor, The Right Honourable Shabana Mahmood MP, and the Lady Chief Justice of England and Wales, the Right Honourable the Baroness Carr of Walton-on-the-Hill.
Sangeeta commences the role on 18 November 2024, with her Recorder role to include assisting the parties to prepare for trial, presiding over court proceedings and delivering judgments in both applications and contested trials.
Sangeeta will continue her Spencer West practice advising individuals across generations on wealth, wills and succession planning, as well as disputes regarding trust and estate matters.
