Angela Kwokori

“I make the complex and painful, simple and human.”

Angela has significant experience in a range of family matters, including divorce and dissolution proceedings, advising on the financial issues arising on the breakdown of a marriage/ civil partnership, nuptial agreements, disputes between cohabiting couples, domestic abuse, and private law children proceedings. Angela’s breadth of experience means that she is able to take a holistic approach in dealing with her clients’ matters, appreciating the broader implications of her advice.

Being a member of Resolution, an organisation committed to resolving family disputes in a constructive manner, Angela applies its Code of Practice to the handling of her clients and their matters. Ultimately, Angela seeks to deal with matters pragmatically, in a way which minimises acrimony between parties. In addition to being a member of Resolution, Angela is a Resolution Accredited Specialist in Pensions and Complex Higher Income Financial Remedies.

Angela does not have a ‘typical’ client, as she acts for parties in cases ranging from having relatively modest assets, to assets worth millions; young adults, to clients nearing retirement age; clients requiring a prenuptial agreement before entering into a marriage, to clients who have come to the end of their marriage. Regardless of the issues to be dealt with, Angela seeks to minimise conflict in her cases, as she appreciates the short and long-term benefits for her clients and their families. Angela has been commended by her clients for her ‘tact and compassion’, and her approach has been described as ‘human’.

Whilst she is adept in managing cases in the court arena, Angela is also experienced in utilising alternative methods of resolving disputes for her clients. This includes advising in matters being dealt with in mediation, arbitration, and Private Financial Dispute Resolution appointments (Private FDRs).

Angela qualified as a Solicitor in 2018, having gained several years of experience in Family Law since 2013. Angela trained and practiced at Legal 500, and Chambers and Partners ranked firms based in London, prior to joining Spencer West as a Partner in December 2024.

Angela has been recognised as a ‘Key Lawyer’ in the UK 2023 and 2025 editions of the Legal 500. A published testimonial in the 2025 edition reads as follows: ‘Angela Kwokori is an outstanding solicitor. Her legal knowledge and experience are beyond her years. She is a fierce negotiator and gives accurate advice. I would highly recommend her to anyone needing advice in financial matters’.
