Patrick Angénieux

Patrick is an English solicitor and a partner specialising in commercial arbitration and investment treaty arbitration with over 20 years of experience.

Capitalizing on his dual legal education in English law (London) and French law (Paris), he has developed a career dedicated to the resolution of international disputes, whether between commercial entities or involving investor-state conflicts.

Patrick started his career at Norton Rose in London in 2001. He subsequently worked in the international arbitration and litigation teams of Skadden Arps Slate Meagher & Flom, Watson, Farley & Williams and Dentons. He headed the arbitration practice at a London boutique law firm before joining Spenser West.

Patrick acts for companies, high-net worth individuals, states and state entities on high value, often complex, commercial arbitration, investor-state arbitration and court litigation. His litigation practice includes general commercial litigation, as well as litigation related to arbitration, such as challenging awards, enforcing or resisting awards both in England and across the world with the assistance of specialised lawyers from relevant jurisdictions, and court applications in support of arbitration.

Patrick has extensive experience in crisis management and in resolving disputes stemming from investments in emerging markets (including in Africa, the Middle-East, CIS and Asia).
