His expertise spans a wide range of areas, including transactions (M&A, corporate restructuring, and project finance), regulation (data protection and privacy, financial services regulation, corporate governance) and general corporate and commercial law.

Prior to co-founding the Spencer West office in Kenya in 2024, Joseph led PwC Kenya’s inaugural legal advisory and consulting business, Legal Business Solutions, which he set up in 2017. He also spent 8 years as an in-house counsel for two of Australia’s premier financial institutions, 4 years with a leading Agrican law firm, and 4 years with a major emerging markets banking group where he acted as legal counsel and compliance expert.
