Peter has been working for various international law firms and is currently acting as an internal legal counsel for a large German provider of medical and safety devices.
He has long-standing experience in advising a broad variety of clients in the areas of IT- and data protection law. This includes drafting, negotiation and implementation of complex IT-related agreements such as licensing, outsourcing or cloud contracts.
Further, Peter has a strong footprint in advising on data protection issues. This includes all varieties of GDPR (and German national data protection law) compliance such as data privacy organisation (record of processing activities, data protection impact assessments etc.), data breach handling, third country data processing or data protection related contracts. He has been assessing the lawfulness of personal data processing activities in various business and industry set-ups.
Last but not least, Peter is engaged in various other large European digital & data legislation initiatives and their implementation such as the Data Act or the AI Act. He also advises on other aspects of digital businesses such as eCommerce b2c requirements or complex IP transfers within tech transactions. Due to his current inhouse role, he has strong insights into the med tech/life science sector.
