Development Projects
  • Acted for a local authority on the £600m strategic land acquisition and development of an office block, a retail park, a PRS scheme, an events arena and a multi-storey car park.
  • Acted for a local authority on the structuring of a corporate joint venture and the strategic land acquisition and development to bring forward 32 mixed-used schemes to generate over £500m income for the client.
  • Acted for a local authority on the £130m development of a mixed-use scheme comprising 300 residential units, 12 commercial units and a front entrance to a railway station.
  • Acted for a development company on the structuring of a corporate joint venture and the strategic land acquisition and development of five brownfield sites for the construction of 400 residential units;
  • Acted for a development company on the strategic land acquisition and development of a brownfield site in central Birmingham for the construction of 1,000 residential units and 30 retail and leisure units.
  • Acted for a National Health Trust on the implementation of its estate rationalisation project for the £120m development of a main entrance retail arcade, a patient hotel and the regularisation of its leasehold asset management that generated £80m income for the client.
  • Acted for a development company on the acquisition of land and buildings in central Southampton for the development of student accommodation comprising 125 units and 2,000 sq/ft of commercial units.

  • Acted for a funder on the £110m refinancing of an oil refinery.
  • Acted for the government on the disposal of land for the £650m development of a jetty, biomass plant and business park.
  • Acted for a solar park developer on the development, project financing, construction, and commissioning of 50 solar parks.
  • Acted for an energy company on a joint venture energy project with a local authority for the development of four wind-turbines, a solar park and battery storage with private wire arrangements.

  • Acted for an investor on the asset purchase of a student accommodation portfolio for £120m.
  • Acted for a property company to acquire three premises in London for the operation of health and fitness businesses.
  • Acted for the NHS to develop a leasehold asset management model to regularise third party occupations and to implement an £80m service charge framework for an NHS foundation trust.
  • Acted for the NHS on its strategic public sector work (for example the £7.4 billion estates transfer of part of the NHS estate to NHS Property Services Ltd).
  • Acted for a local authority on the £16 million investment acquisition of 44 commercial and residential units.
