Mariló Pardo is a Tax Lawyer with an extensive professional background and experience in tax advisory in respect of corporate and commercial law, including retail, renewable energy and e-commerce, and with a particular international focus on non-resident taxation.
Mariló is a member of the Barcelona Bar Association and undertook her Masters in Taxation at ESADE Business School, before starting out her practice at PWC (the ‘Big4’ global professional services practice) where she was a senior tax manager giving advice to the firm’s clients, most of them leading entities in the pharmaceutical, real estate and private equity sectors, as well as leading the tax advisory aspects of cross-border, M&A, due diligence, and restructuring projects.
She has also worked for Allianz, the international insurance and life assurance firm, where she was involved in high profile matters involving tax issues arising out of financial services regulation, reinsurance and insurance.
She advises on the tax aspects of international corporate law. Relevant experience includes international and non-resident taxation, Spanish taxation, VAT operations, e-commerce and taxation relating to inbound individuals.
At the academic level, she is a Tax Professor at the University of Barcelona, a member of the Barcelona Bar Association and she has a PDD Masters at IESE Business School, Navarra University.
She has a keen interest in the legaltech world and collaborates with the Instituto de Innovación Legal (IIL) in advising law firms on digital transformation, and is a member of the Digital Transformation Committee of the Barcelona Bar Association.
